At one time, I had everything I wanted in life. Or I thought I did, but I lived in black and white. Then, he exploded into my world. Dragon.
He’s hot-blooded, cocky, stubborn as hell, and he drives me crazy. With him everything is more…It’s more vibrant, more exciting, more…real.
Suddenly I have everything to lose. In fact, I’m terrified that I might not be strong enough to hold on to it all. Because I’m learning with life, there are no hearts and flowers. Sometimes, there is just darkness.
There’s one thing I know about life. You have to grab it by the throat and go at it full throttle.
Thrown away with the garbage on the day I was born, hooked on crack before I even take my first breath and doing what I had to do just to survive—
That’s who I am.
I’m the filth your mother warned you about.
The Savage MC is the only family I’ve ever had, the only ones I can depend on.
Then she walks into my life. Nicole.
Nothing like what I expected, sassy, smart and sexy as hell. She’s everything I could want and more.
Our worlds don’t mix. I’m only going to drag her down.
She should have never let me touch her…
Life can tear you into shreds, make you bend until you break.
Sometimes, you have to face death, so you can live.
Breaking Dragon is book #1 in the Savage Brothers MC Series, this is the first book I have read by this author and I was lucky enough to be gifted a copy to read for Gemma Reads Too Much.
I love biker books; a good alpha badass biker is like catnip to me so I had super high expectations of Dragon.
Unfortunately Dragon just didn’t do it for me. He was alpha but I just didn’t find his attitude sexy more a little condescending. I hate to say it but if he had called Nicole ‘Mama’ once more I was going to throw my kindle across the room.
Now Nicole I loved her firecracker personality and sass and she was super sexy and the sex was hot!!
My main issue with this book was the biker club, usually MC’s are a family completely devoted to each other, but to have two betrayals within one short story was just a bit weird. It was such a shame not to have that sense of loyalty and devotion.
I really wanted to love this couple but I just didn’t, it all just happened too quickly from meeting to obsession in 2.5 seconds.
This book left far too many unanswered questions I mean who was working with Irish? What’s going on with Dancer, what happened with Skull’s club??
When I finished this story I was left unsatisfied and then what Nicole got tattooed on her I mean WTF!!!!
This book had all of the elements to be great but it just didn’t work for me, I can’t even put my finger on why I wasn’t keen but something about it just frustrated me.
Breaking Dragon gets 2.5 stars from me.
