Catching Cassidy by Melissa Foster
Harborside Nights # 1
Wyatt Armstrong never imagined that instead of celebrating his college graduation, he and his twin sister would be dealing with the death of their parents. Then again, Wyatt had never been one to think past tomorrow. He heads to their summer home in Harborside, Massachusetts, with his best friend Cassidy Lowell in tow, to deal with his parents’ death and to try to figure out his next step.
Six foot two, infuriatingly handsome, and flirtatious, Wyatt Armstrong has always been there for Cassidy, helping her pass her classes and fend off unwanted advances, while driving her insane with his one-night stands—but that’s what best friends are for, isn’t it? Having each other’s backs. There was never any doubt that she would accompany him to his family’s summer home—but she never expected to begin seeing Wyatt as more than a friend. Or has she been ignoring her feelings all along?
It’s impossible to ignore the sizzling heat between them as Wyatt and Cassidy get even closer, but Cassidy knows Wyatt’s past, and she has a real job to begin in the fall. Wyatt may be a sure thing for the summer, but Cassidy needs more. For the first time in his life, Wyatt is forced to look toward the future if he doesn’t want to lose the one woman who’s shared his past and owns his heart.

Catching Cassidy is book #1 in the Harbourside Nights Series by Melissa Foster, I was lucky enough to be gifted a copy of this book to read for Gemma reads too much.
Holy sexual tension batman!!!!
I’ve read a couple of Melissa Foster’s books before and although they are chock packed full of old school romance I don’t think I’ve read one that is so overtly sexual.
There’s threesomes, bisexuals, gay, lesbian and every other colour of the sexual rainbow you can imagine!!!
I absolutely loved the diversity and openness this book exuded!!! Now I don’t know about you but if I walked into my living room and found my friend kissing a guy while fondling a girl I may be fairly shocked but not Wyatt he just tells Brandon to take it to his room lol!!!!
I loved all of the characters in this book; I really enjoy books that have a large group of friends, especially if they expand into book series.
Wyatt and Cassidy are super cute and very obviously completely smitten with one another.
I have to say at times I found Cassidy incredibly immature, she’s supposed to be in her early twenties but to be honest she behaved more like she was 16 or 17.
Everything about Wyatt and Cassidy felt intense and teetering on the edge between a brilliant idea and an absolute nightmare. I loved the passion they had for each other but I just struggled to understand Cassidy.
Cassidy’s parents are an absolute nightmare, seriously what the hell is wrong with them??? I kept waiting for the epiphany moment when they realised they had a daughter that they loved, but it never happened they just got worse,
Overall I really got into this book, I don’t feel like I warmed to Delilah but as I’ve never read a lesbian romance I would be happy to give it a go.
Catching Cassidy gets 4 stars from me.
