Dance for Me by J.C. Valentine
WARNING: Dance for Me is the first book in a trilogy and ends with a cliffhanger. Due to mature material, it is recommended for ages 17+.
What if the person who stole your heart wasn’t who you thought they were?
When my parents passed away, I grew up fast. Learning to stand on my own two feet has been a challenge, but I’m making it… my way. I make no apologies for the path I’ve chosen. My choices have served me well, but no one knows the real me.
Except one man.
He’s a mystery to me. He’s controlling, demanding, and he has me wrapped around his little finger. Anything he wants, I’ll give it to him. The hours we share together aren’t about love. It’s just sex. Hot, dirty, passionate sex. It was never supposed to be anything more than that.
Until everything changed.
Now, I’m more confused than ever. The more I learn about him, the less I seem to understand. What I do know is that I’m falling, and I have the feeling when I land, it’s going to hurt.
Dance for me by J.C Valentine is book #1 in the Forbidden Trilogy and the first book I have read by this author. I was gifted a copy of this book to read for Gemma Reads Too Much.
I’m not entirely sure what I was expecting from this book, but it sure as hell wasn’t this!!!
I’m really trying hard not to reveal any spoilers so bear with me…
God I need to start at the end and work backwards, that ending was properly fucked up. Oh my fucking god that was proper messed up, like I can’t even explain how fucked up that was!!!
This book was wrong on sooooo many levels that I feel like a freak for saying that it was sexy.
I’m not a prude, I like my men alpha and my book smut dirty but this whole book now I’ve finished it feels taboo on a WHOLE other level.
If you were to list what happens in this book out of order it wouldn’t seem all that risqué. But when you think about the story once you have read it I almost guarantee your response will be along the lines of what the fuck!!!
I don’t want to talk about the characters because it will give too much away.
Suffice to say I honestly have no idea how I feel about any of them!!!
Perhaps I’m being overly sensitive but this book just felt like a massive head fuck!!
I’m still a bit shell shocked, I’m honestly not sure if this was brilliant or a bit twisted!!
Whatever the hell it was it’s gonna be one of those books you never forget!!! I’m completely intrigued to find out what’s going to happen next, but I’m not sure I really want to know lol.
Dance For Me gets 4 very disturbed stars
