Illusive by Nina Levine
Storm MC #5
Griff Hawkins keeps his pain locked away and the ghosts of his past buried even deeper. Three years ago, he chose the Storm MC as his family and accepted the ways of their violent world. These days, he lives his life with one rule – don’t get attached to anyone but his club.
She longs to be loved.
Sophia Barnes aches to know real love, and lives her life with arms wide open, ready to embrace the possibilities that come her way.
When Griff’s past is exposed and his place in the club is jeopardised, he fights for his family the only way he knows how, regardless of the consequences. That is, until he meets the woman who brings him to his knees, giving him something to lose.
Can they teach each other to leave the sins of the past behind or will Griff’s demons dictate their future?
Illusive is book #5 in the Storm MC Series, I was lucky enough to be gifted an ARC of this book to read for Gemma Reads Too Much.
This last few days I’ve been immersed into the world of Storm MC I’ve lived and breathed it whilst I read the entire 6 books in the series so far (5 books plus a novella)
I wasn’t convinced by the first book it just wasn’t dirty enough for me. And by dirty I don’t mean the sex, I mean the filth and grim and grit that is associated with this genre.
But book by book this series has evolved and darkened and honestly now I absolutely love it!!!
I thought Slay would stay my favourite book because, well Blade do I need to say more!!!!
Let’s just say that Illusive blows all the previous books out of the water, it’s honestly just that good!!!
I’d not really given Griff’s character too much thought, I was suspicious when he betrayed Scott and the others but honestly he was just a quiet secondary character.
Now I wish I had taken more notice because bloody hell, well swoon basically covers it.
My absolute favourite characters are alpha men; they are the ultimate turn on for me.
Griff is just alpha perfection and then you add in all the dominance and Christ I’m just a puddle of horny mush!!!
The sex in this book is SMOKING HOT, like SMOKING HOT!!!!!
This book is substantially darker and more violent than anything else in the series and I loved how the MC is getting back to its bad as roots!!
I loved this book; it worked on every level for me and gets a sexy as hell 5 stars from me.
