Manwhore by Katy Evans
This is the story I’ve been waiting for all my life, and its name is Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint. Don’t be fooled by that last name though. There’s nothing holy about the man except the hell his parties raise. The hottest entrepreneur Chicago has ever known, he’s a man’s man with too much money to spend and too many women vying for his attention.
Mysterious. Privileged. Legendary. His entire life he’s been surrounded by the press as they dig for tidbits to see if his fairytale life is for real or all mirrors and social media lies. Since he hit the scene, his secrets have been his and his alone to keep. And that’s where I come in.
Assigned to investigate Saint and reveal his elusive personality, I’m determined to make him the story that will change my career.
But I never imagined he would change my life. Bit by bit, I start to wonder if I’m the one discovering him…or if he’s uncovering me.
What happens when the man they call Saint, makes you want to sin?
Manwhore is book #1 in the Manwhore series, I’m a fan of Katy Evans and I loved her Real series so this book has been on my TBR list for a while.
Honestly it took me a while to get into this story; I think I expected a rough raw male lead like Remy. Saint is far more swarve, more sophisticated and much more polished than I expected.
Saint is called a manwhore for a reason and between him and his spoilt brat friends I wanted to dish out three big bitch slaps for generally being huge douchebags!!!
The thing is that Rachel is almost as bad as him!! She comes across as a total man-hater, she’s that I don’t need a man idiot that I roll my eyes at and make fun of. I hated her attitude and god don’t even get me started on her friends!!!
Like evil little leaches on her shoulders her friends are a nightmare god if I could have removed them from the book completely I would have!!!
At 44% I was still struggling to fall in love with this story and these characters and then the light at the end of the tunnel started to seep through.
Slowly the romance and love seeped into this story and it changed from a manipulator and a manwhore to a woman who is fights her fear to let love in and a guy who is so consumed by women that he stops looking for something else.
From then on I really fell into this book and I ended up stressed for Rachel and hurt for Saint but just really hoping that it was all going to end well.
I loved the tentative romance and the way that they danced round the commitment they both desperately want but neither is prepared to really ask for.
God at the end I was literally on the edge of my seat and now I NEED to know how this story is going to play out.
I can’t wait too carried away in Manwhore +1
Manwhore gets 4 stars from me.
