Too Many Rock Stars by Candy J Starr
Access All Areas #1
I don’t date rockers. Don’t sleep with them. Don’t even swap spit. I’ve been working as a band booker at Trouble — the coolest indie rock club in town — long enough to know what a bunch of screwed up, egotistical jerks they are. Some of them might seem okay at first but that’s just because they’ve learnt to hide it better than others.
That would be fine if Razer didn’t keep popping into my office, making himself so annoyingly attractive. And he only gets more insistent when the leather-clad Alex hits town.
While they compete for both rock glory and my affection, I get stuck in the middle but all I really want to do is save my job and the club.
That’s the trouble with my life: too many rock stars.
Too Many Rock Stars is book #1 in the Access All Areas series, I was gifted a copy of the book to read for Gemma Reads Too Much.
Ok I’m not in the mood to mince my words so I’m just gonna come straight out with it….
This book was rubbish!!!
The plot is thin to say the least and the writings not great either. Violets a man hater but when we find out what the great big thing was that made her that way it was a monumental let down!!
I limped through this book and finished it purely because I had committed to read it.
The book is told from three pov’s Violet, Razor and Alex. Alex comes across as a complete douche from the first word and Violet is a bitch! This is a really dodgy love triangle because it’s obvious from the start who she’s going to pick.
I’ve read another book by this author which I loved, but honestly I’m not entirely convinced they were actually written by the same author.
Normally I would try to find some positive spin on how much I disliked this book but I just can’t find anything good to say about it.
I’m incredibly disappointed by this book and if id paid for it I would be asking for my money back!
Too Many Rock Stars gets 2 stars from me.
