One more chance by Abbi Glines
Rosemary Beach #8 – Chances #2
Grant Carter did everything in his power to convince Harlow Manning that he was a good guy. More than a smooth-talker and someone she could trust. He had to overcome his reputation as a playboy, and his history with Harlow’s half-sister, Nan, a woman with a reputation of her own.
Harlow had taken the chance, falling hard and fast for the guy who thrilled her with his all-consuming desire. After a lifetime of avoiding bad boys like Grant, she had opened herself to the possibilities of love…
But a life-changing secret has torn them apart, and now Grant and Harlow must decide if they have enough fight to make it work – or if the pain of betrayal has permanently destroyed their future.
One more chance is book #8 in the Rosemary Beach Series and book #2 in the Chances series.
It’s been a long time since I read Take a Chance but it only took a milli second to be thrust back into Harlow and Grants worlds.
This series is comfortable and familiar and just bloody brilliant!!
This book literally picks up where Take a Chance ends and instantly I was assaulted by both Harlow and Grants fear. In fact this book is constantly on a knifes edge between terrifying fear and life altering joy.
I felt every single emotion with these characters, the joy, the anticipation, the heartbreak and Christ was it a rollercoaster!!
This book slayed me!!!
Thank god I was in the bath when I read this because I’d of flooded the house with all the tears I cried. We’re not talking pretty single tear rolling down the cheek. No mine were the big fat ugly tears that make your eyes swell and your face red and blotchy.
I cried so much I’m fairly sure I’m still dehydrated!!!
Abbi Glines I kind of hate you!!!
Every letter broke my heart more and more and god I was a freaking mess!!!
Anyone who has felt even a fraction of the love Harlow expresses in this book or the fear at not being here to see you babies grow up this book will annihilate you.
I loved this book, it broke and mended my heart every other page and honestly I doubt I will ever forget it.
One more chance gets 5 stars from me.
