Knitting in The City #4

Beauty & the mustache

Beauty and the mustacheThere are three things you need to know about Ashley Winston: 1) She has six brothers and they all have beards, 2) She is a reader, and 3) She knows how to knit.

Former beauty queen, Ashley Winston’s preferred coping strategy is escapism. She escaped her Tennessee small town, loathsome father, and six brothers eight years ago. Now she escapes life daily via her Amazon kindle one-click addiction. However, when a family tragedy forces her to return home, Ashley can’t escape the notice of Drew Runous— local Game Warden, reclusive mountain man, bear wrestler, philosopher, and everyone’s favorite guy. Drew’s irksome philosophizing in particular makes Ashley want to run for the skyscrapers, especially since he can’t seem to keep his exasperating opinions— or his soulful poetry, steadfast support, and delightful hands— to himself. Pretty soon the girl who wanted nothing more than the escape of the big city finds she’s lost her heart in small town Tennessee.

Review 4.5 Stars

OK so this is book #4 in the knitting in the city series and I’m loving binge reading these books back to back.

I’ve been so looking forward to Ash’s book since reading Truth & Beard which is a spin-off of this series featuring Ash’s brothers.

This book didn’t disappoint, it was everything good. Although missing the weird characters I’d become used to Penny writing instead we got the entire Winston clan and what a trade off that was!!!

I adore each and every one of Ash’s brothers and they really were the cherry on top of this book.

Penny Reid gave us a sensitive Viking!!!! I sort of feel like I should be bowing and shout all hail queen penny.

Drew was a sensitive soul all wrapped up in the perfect alpha body. Normally enlightened men are not my thing but Drew was kind of perfect.

When you break this story down its heart-breaking but when I think back on reading this book I just thought it was really funny!

RACCOON!!!!! Will go down as one of the funniest words ever from now on!

This book is funny, witty, silly, romantic and heart-breaking all in one and I adored it!

Beauty & The Mustache gets 4.5 stars from me.
