A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole
A bond that is forged in an instant and cherished for a decade.
A bond that neither time nor distance can break.
A bond that will last forever.
Or so they believe.
When seventeen-year-old Rune Kristiansen returns from his native Norway to the sleepy town of Blossom Grove, Georgia, where he befriended Poppy Litchfield as a child, he has just one thing on his mind. Why did the girl who was one half of his soul, who promised to wait faithfully for his return, cut him off without a word of explanation?
Rune’s heart was broken two years ago when Poppy fell silent. When he discovers the truth, he finds that the greatest heartache is yet to come.
This is the book that’s impossible to review; I was lucky enough or unfortunate enough, depending on which way you look at it to receive an ARC of this book to read for Gemma Reads Too Much.
This book would be completely ruined if you had an idea of the story before you read it so this is going to be the vaguest of vague reviews.
This type of book scares me; I simply don’t do tearjerker books because honestly they scare the crap out of me.
I wanted to read this book purely because Tillie Cole had written it.
But with hindsight even knowing that this was going to provoke a reaction in me I was completely unprepared for THIS story.
This book destroyed me and honestly I’m not sure I’ll ever get over it.
I don’t even know what to say to review it but it pretty much boils down to this…..
I started crying at 14% and then I didn’t stop for the rest of the book, not a pretty single tear rolling elegantly down my cheek. No harsh ugly sobbing that left my eyes swollen six hours later because my heart broke!!!
I hated every minute of this story that had me sobbing my eyes out and completely breaking my heart.
But this is also one of the best books I’ve ever read.
I don’t know how it works that I hated and yet loved this book but it just does.
If this book hadn’t had an epilogue this would have been a very different review, just putting that out there.
This book will stay with me for the rest of my life, it will make me question how I live my life and will make me cry every time I think about it.
A Thousand Boy Kisses get 10 Soul Destroying Stars.

Tillie is both an independent and traditionally published author, and writes many genres including: Contemporary Romance, Dark Romance, Young Adult and New Adult novels.
When she is not writing, Tillie enjoys nothing more than curling up on her couch watching movies, drinking far too much coffee, while convincing herself that she really doesn’t need that extra square of chocolate.
