Deep Redemption by Tillie Cole
He was born to ascend.
He was destined to lead.
He was never meant to fail.
Prophet Cain lies broken and defeated on the floor of his cell. A cell he has been thrown into by the one person who was supposed to stand by his side until the end. His flesh and blood, his only companion. His beloved twin brother.
Cain has sacrificed everything for his people. He left the safety and security of his life of study to infiltrate the infamous Hades Hangmen. He lived with them, rode with them, and then betrayed them. All in the name of a faith he can now feel slipping away from him. Like everything else he once held dear…
But then his isolation is broken. Another prisoner is brought to the cell next to his. A woman fighting her own demons and fears. A woman who Cain understands needs him, as he needs her.
As the connection between them grows, so does Cain’s resolve. He will right the wrongs he has done. He will atone for the evil acts carried out in his name. He will save the one he loves…
… Even if the battle takes him to the gates of hell itself.
Contemporary Dark Romance. Contains explicit sexual situations, violence, sensitive and taboo subjects, offensive language, and mature topics. Recommended for age 18 years and up.
Id decided I wasn’t going to like this book.
I hated Cain and honestly I seriously doubted that even Tillie Cole could make me feel anything but hatred and distain for him.
I’m not sure how it even happened but this is a 10 star book.
This is gonna be the vaguest most random review but you need to go into this book completely blind.
It will blow your fucking minds!!!!!
Somehow Cain is redeemable.
Somehow he became saveable and not only that but I wanted him to be ok.
This book is dark, in some places darker than any of the other books in this series have been. Before I read this book Cain was a naïve devil and yet by the end he is a flawed man that somehow became redeemable.
I don’t like him, but that’s a vast improvement over the blinding hatred I felt for him before. This book gave him a history. It delved deeper into how he had been affected by his upbringing just as much as the girls had been.
There are some literally jaw dropping moments in this book that took me completely by surprise. They came out of nowhere but the moment they happened it was like a light clicked on and they made absolute complete sense.
This story comes full circle and I loved the sense of peace that gave me.
The female lead in this book is fantastic, where in the previous books in this series the men have been the strong forces in this book it’s the girl. I loved how she was both feminine and innocent but her inner strength and sheer force of will shone from her.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series and the next and the next.
This book made me cry; it shocked the shit out of me and made my chest swell with happiness. It made the devil human and it defied nature (you’ll understand this when you read it 😉 )
Epic, must read book gets 10 stars barely feels like enough but as its 5 more than I usually give out it will have to do.
